Several injured after deck collapse in Germantown, Md.

GERMANTOWN, Md. — Several people were injured after an overcrowded deck collapsed in Germantown, Md., on Saturday, Pete Piringer, the chief spokesperson for Montgomery County fire and rescue service, said.

Medical officials responded and evaluated patients. At least two adults were transported with non life-threatening injures. 

Officials said the deck likely collapsed because of "ineffective connections" and "rotten wood." The deck was also overcrowded.
