WASHINGTON — A breezy but nice Wednesday afternoon!

Skies remain partly cloudy throughout the afternoon with only a low risk of a spotty shower - mostly for areas east of I-95. High temperatures will climb back into the upper 60s and low 70s, but you'll notice breezy wind coming in from the northwest gusting up to 25 mph.
Temperatures will fall back into the upper 30s and low 40s outside of D.C. overnight and some isolated patches of frost are possible by Thursday morning. Although it may be tempting to do some spring planting, it's best to wait a few more weeks.
Winds will calm for Thursday, but expect significantly cooler temperatures in the afternoon, only in the upper 50s and low 60s.

Temperatures will stay below average through the start of the weekend before we soar back into the 80s by Sunday. Saturday will feature only a slim risk of showers under mostly cloudy skies.
Sunday, too, expect more clouds than sun with only a low chance for a spotty shower, but temperatures will bump up significantly into the low 80s.
Despite such a dry stretch of weather, we are still nowhere near a rainfall deficit. So far this spring (since March 1st) D.C. has picked up 6.92" of rain which is 1.02" above average.
