1 suspect turned in, 1 identified, sought after rape case near Naylor Road Station

The two suspects were identified and one has turned himself in, police say.

HILLCREST HEIGHTS, Md. – Police identified two suspects in a rape case in Southeast, D.C. from Dec. 3. One suspect, police say, turned himself in to police, and another is still being actively sought.

The joint investigation was by Prince George's Co. police and D.C. Metropolitan police departments, as the assault spanned across the District and into Prince George's Co.

One suspect, 25-year-old Nick Savoy, Southeast, D.C., turned himself in to police in Roanoke, Virginia.

The other suspect, Mark Blue, 29, of Northwest, D.C., has had an arrest warrant put out for him. Police are asking anyone who knows of his whereabouts to contact police.

According to police, a woman walking home from the Naylor Road Metro station was abducted by two men on Curtis Drive near Branch Ave. around 12:05 a.m.

The suspect forced the woman into their car at gunpoint and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect dumped the victim in the 1500 block of Ridge Place in southeast DC, where MPD officials say she was raped once again. She was able to make a call to police from a nearby home.

A subsequent manhunt was led by detectives from both the Prince George's County Police Department and the Metropolitan police department, since the suspect crossed the DC/Prince George's County border with the victim.
