Police search for attempted sexual assault suspect in Arlington

Arlington police are searching for a man involved in an attempted sexual assault.

ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) — Arlington police are searching for a man involved in an attempted sexual assault.

The incident happened din the 800 Block of S. Frederick Street.

Between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., police said an unknown man forced his way into a residence, took out a knife and attempted to sexually assault a woman. He then fled the scene.

The woman suffered minor physical injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Police describe the as a black male, 20-30 years old, approximately 5’7” tall with short cropped hair. He was seen wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans at the time of the incident.
