Shots were fired into the air in Loudoun County Friday night after police say was reportedly involved in an domestic altercation with a known female.
John H. Abel, 48, of Catlett, Va., is wanted on charges of domestic assault, brandishing a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm and discharging a firearm in a public place.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The incident happened near the 20700 block of Easthampton Plaza in One Loudoun around 9 p.m. Police say the subject threatened to harm himself after firing a gun into the air.
Abel fled on foot and police are still searching for him. The firearm was recovered at the scene.
Abel is described by police as a white male, 6’2” tall, 225 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
