A barricade situation that started after a domestic argument at a Capitol Heights hotel Friday morning is now over.
Deputies responded to a hotel in Capitol Heights around 8:30 a.m., according to Prince George's Sheriff's Office.
Officials said the victim was fighting in the lobby of the hotel with the suspect. According to officials, hotel staff intervened after the victim was assaulted in the lobby.
The suspect then barricaded himself inside a hotel room with his 6-year-old child.
Police said the hostage negotiation team were able to convince the suspect to leave the room safely.
The victim was taken for treatment.
