Tractor trailer crashes into home, traps people inside in Clements, Md.

A tractor trailer careened into a home early Saturday morning, trapping the four occupants inside, on the 23000 block of Budds Creek Road in Clements, Md.

A tractor trailer careened into a home early Saturday morning, trapping the four occupants inside, on the 23000 block of Budds Creek Road in Clements, Md.

According to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, the tractor trailer, driven by 78-year-old Bolden Macarthur Walker, went into the home at around 6 a.m. after Walker lost control of the vehicle approaching a traffic circle.

Two of the occupants of the home, Billie Kathleen Fitzpatrick, age 38, Thomas Martin Johnson, age 37, along with Walker, were taken to University of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital Center with incapacitating injuries, police say. They are currently in stable condition.

Two children in the home were also taken to the Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital as a precaution.

The removal of the truck and family caused significant damage to the home which has been posted as unsafe.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
